Need a microphone?
While not required, a microphone is strongly recommended for our interview. If you don’t have a high-quality microphone yet, there are some great (budget-friendly!) options available – and if you do many interviews or recordings, you’ll definitely get some use out of it beyond this podcast.
Cheapest Option: Logitech USB Headset (this also includes headphones!) ~ $30
Mid-Range Option: Audio-Technica USB Microphone ~$70
Higher-End Option: Blue Yeti USB Microphone (this is the mic Jessie records with!)
Need headphones?
You can use standard earbud headphones (like the ones that come with an iPhone), but use whatever you’re comfortable with as long as it can connect to your computer! If you have a mic-headphone combination headset, that’s great, too (and if you don’t have one, you can pick up this mic + headphone combo from Logitech for under $30). For higher-end headphones, check out Beats or Bose. Headphones are required for all podcast guests to help us get better audio recordings – without headphones, audio feedback can ruin a recording!
