Episode 03 // Josh Goldman on the Future of Sustainable Aquaculture

Headshot of Josh Goldman, who joins me on the At The Table podcast to talk about aquaculture, sustainable fish farming, and the future of the industry.

I talk to sustainable aquaculture pioneer Josh Goldman about the potential of sustainable fish farming, the strategies he uses to minimize environmental impacts with Australis Barramundi, and the future of aquaculture.

Josh Goldman is the Co-Founder and CEO of Australis Aquaculture, which is an internationally recognized leader in sustainable seafood and is the first-ever marine-farmed fish to receive a Best-Choice designation from Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program.

In Episode 1, you might remember that we talked a lot about the importance of choosing wild salmon over farmed. In this episode, we look at fish farming from a new perspective, and I talk to Josh about why not all aquaculture is created equal (and some tools we can use as consumers to differentiate between “good” and “bad” farmed fish).
